Rim's problem

just got 17's x 7 ALT rims with Bridgestone (Potenzas) 215x40R. But I havent' even lowered my car and my rims are touching the top of the springs & suspension. Did u guys have this problem? What can I do to fix it???






I also got the front&rear strut bars. Damn they make a huge difference in a strong grip

they're touching the springs?? or they're hitting the lip of the wheel well?

what's the width? what's the tire size? and what's the offset of the wheels?

Sounds to me like your tires are to big.
maybe go with a 205/40/17 that could be a possiblility.

I also think the rims are too big. I got the wheels *rims&tires* for $500. So I'm gonna have to stick with them for a while, I got no money now...
The wheels are ALT-188 17x7 with 40mm offset & 4100. The tires are Bridgestone "Potenzas" 215x40Rx17. One of my friends said that I could "raised" my car with springs. Right now, I got a kit that helps my rear suspension, but I guess I'm gonna have to either do some body work or raise my car or get other tires (no one has used 205x40x17?? )

The ghettolicious way would be to use washers behind the tire to increase offset (move tires away from springs) and roll your fenders.
